Kanye West has a way with words. That is a fact.
Last July, Kanye West got into a heated scuffle with a photographer determined to get some closeup shots. Recently, Kanye West spoke with the lawyer of said photographer in the context of a deposition as their legal proceedings continued.
As TMZ reported, the transcript, which was full of West’s wit and sarcasm, details how the photographer’s lawyer, Nate Goldberg, constantly attempted to get a rise out of the hip-hop legend.
“I’m the smartest celebrity you’ve ever f***ing dealt with. I’m not Britney Spears.” West went on to say, “”I’m in the business of trying to make dope s**t for the world. You’re in the business of representing scums and trying to make as much money as long as there’s this lapse in the law.”
When prompted by Goldberg, Kanye went on to talk about his thoughts on how the plight of celebrities is on par with the civil rights effort. When asked if he equates the struggles of African Americans in the past with today’s celebrities, Kanye responded, “Yes, 100 … I equate it to discrimination. I equate it to inequalities.”
